Transpower Neighbourhood Engineers Awards: 'smart' pigeonholes and a treehouse win prizes

Glendowie College has won the senior section of the Awards with their project to bring teachers' pigeonholes into the digital age. Hobsonville Primary School won the junior section of the Awards with their plans for a treehouse.

'I would make them longer cos they were a lot of fun'

Girls at 10 schools around New Zealand have been part of Hello Café workshops this term. The programme uses humanitarian issues, female mentors, and hands-on activities to interest girls in engineering. We're looking forward to doing the workshops in more schools in 2018.

There is now a new way to explore our collection of students' questions and Ambassadors' answers. We've upgraded the format of our 'Ask Someone' forum so that keywords and categories can be used to explore the collection of 141 answered questions.

Season's greetings, and the year that was
